Chart retrieval consists of a few keystrokes:
1. Type the first few letters of the last and first names, separated by a comma, in the Search Bar.
For example: Anne Green = gre,ann
2. Hit Enter or click the Search Button.

3. The chart opens.
NOTE: The search may also be completed by MRNumber, SSN or DOB. The entire number must be entered For example: 3/22/1968.
If limited patient information is known, eMedRec is able to provide the User with a list (within the
parameters of the search).
For example: Last name begins with G - R - E.
1. Click the Search Button to open the Patient Search window.
2. Enter G - R - E into the Last Name field.
3. The resulting lists identifies ALL patients with last names beginning with G - R - E.
4. Double click on the desired patient name to open the chart.
One other example is a combination of the last and first names.
Searching again for Anne Green:
1. Enter G - R - E into the Last Name field.
Enter A into the First Name field.
2. The results list those patients with last names beginning “Gre” and first names beginning with “A”.
3. Double click on the desired patient name to open the chart.
