The Chart Viewer of eMedRec displays a Patient Chart in a format similar to that of a paper chart. Clicking on a Tab on the left edge of the chart will display the contents of that Tab. Contents are sorted with the most recent document on top. They may be resorted by document type, location or any other column including the default Date of Service.
The friendly chart viewing interface enables the training of a new user in minutes.
Fax numbers associated with individual charts are maintained for quick 2 click faxing to the patient's pharmacy, primary care physician, or insurance company. Chart contents or prescriptions may be faxed instantly, to any fax number associated with the chart, or to a new fax destination.
The Enterprise Faxing solution automates the workflow of both incoming and outgoing faxes.
Workflow creates a virtual work basket for medical practice staff. Labs, test results, records requests, dictation and other items are all tracked and escalated based on rules established by the practice and are routed to the staff for action.
Robust Workflow capability is a key eMedRec feature that helps the practice save time.
As much as we love Electronic Charts, paper forms are still an important part of the patient visit in many medical offices. Patients fill out Patient Information Sheets, Release of Records, Receipt of Privacy Policy, and many other documents.
eMedRec's Forms Creation tool takes the practice's existing forms and automatically completes the patient name, address, social security and other information from the stored data.
eMedRec includes an internal Script Writer, as well as integration with NewCrop for ePrescribing. This feature provides drug information for research purposes and the ability to print out drug information sheets for the patient from the script writer or from inside the chart.
The patient's preferred Pharmacy and the associated fax number is tracked in the patient's chart and the ePrescribing system for easy faxing, printing, or electronic transmission of the prescription.

Physicians utilize a variety of methods to create a visit note. eMedRec allows practitioners to continue using their preferred methods. You may create a Note through dictation, via practice templates, or combinations of dictation and automatic note generation.
The Note creation system within eMedRec is designed specifically for the busy medical office. This includes the ability to utilize embedded Dragon Voice Recognition within the note framework. eMedRec Note creation utilizes free flowing data for HPI, Plan, and Impression. eMedRec takes advantage of the repetitive nature of medicine for follow up visits, ROS, Physical Exam, History, Meds, etc. that are automatically generated in the note.
The main focus in the development of eMedRec is to hold true to our mission of providing Medical Records Made Friendly. This does not eliminate the need to provide both training and ongoing support. There are a number of methods to obtain this training and support. We have found that different practices and different individuals have varying preferences and we make every effort to adapt to practice preferences.
A combination of remote web based training and personal training is provided depending on the needs of the practice. Most users will require less than 30 minutes of training. Administrators, responsible for forms design and configuring practice specific preferences and workflow queues, will require more training and ongoing support. They will only require hours, not days of training.
eMedRec is hosted in a secure Cloud environment for maximum security. Incorporation of technology and systems that integrate with Labs, Hospitals, Diagnostic Centers, and Practice Mangement is a primary focus.
eMedRec is fully certified as a Complete EHR in accordance with the Medicare and Medicaid Electronic Health Records (EHR) Incentive Programs. Contact Support for assistance in registration and attesting for compliance using eMedRec.
